Catch the small mistakes early
See buffer diagnostics without leaving Emacs.
Flymake displays diagnostics supplied by the current mode or another backend. The example enables the built-in Emacs Lisp backend; it does not assume that a checker is available for every programming language.
Run M-x flymake-show-buffer-diagnostics for a list, or use flymake-goto-next-error and flymake-goto-prev-error to move between findings.
Eglot already enables Flymake in buffers it manages. You do not need a second hook for those buffers, and other languages may need an appropriate backend or external checker.
